The Athens College of Ministry offers transformational prayer as a means for inner healing, peace, and direction. In a painful world, people need a place to turn where they are loved and cared for and accepted as they are. We strive to create a comforting and safe environment to release, discover and heal. We hope that you will join us as we come alongside you on your journey to wholeness.
The objective of ACMin’s Transformational Prayer Ministry Center is to restore people to wholeness and abundant life so that they may live out the fullness of their identity and purpose with power, peace and joy.
Our prayer ministry is intentional, focused prayer, resulting in transformation of the mind, will, and emotions. Through Prayer Ministry, prayer recipients can overcome struggles with anger, unforgiveness, fear, stress, anxiety, shame, trauma, sexual sins, and depression as well as other undesired behaviors and thought patterns.
Life circumstances, ingrained behaviors, or false beliefs rob us of of our promised, abundant life with God. Prayer Ministry is a highly effective way to upgrade the perspectives and expectations for our lives.
Indicators that Prayer Ministry can help you:
The prayer recipient is served by a team of two trained and seasoned prayer ministers in a safe, confidential, and welcoming environment. In the ministry session, the team’s role is to assist the recipient to connect with the heart of God for healing of her/his unmet needs, unhealed wounds, and unresolved issues. This is accomplished by the discovery of one’s root or core beliefs and replacing them with God’s truth.
Transformational Prayer Ministry is not a form of mental health care or clinical counseling. The Prayer Ministers’ role is to listen, love, and pray. Be encouraged that Prayer Ministry offers you the hope of being set free from those circumstances that keep you from God’s best.
So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
No, just as God loves every person, we welcome people from all backgrounds.
We allot 90-minutes for your appointment, but sometimes sessions go over or under. We also offer 3-hour intensives by request only.
No. Recipients can leave at any time during a session for any reason.
You are not required to bring anything but yourself. However, you are welcome to bring a drink, a paper and pen for notes, or even a safe person if it makes you feel more comfortable.
It’s a good idea to pray, if you can. If you are a new recipient there will be a few forms for you to complete. Typically, you will receive a link through email to complete those online before the date of your appointment.
You will receive detailed instructions by email about this. We ask that you come to the covered walk behind the main church building. Your ministers will meet you and escort you to our private prayer room.
Absolutely. Our trained ministers uphold the highest level of integrity. Our number one goal is to minister to you as a person without compromising your privacy.
